The Chester House Estate, Northamptonshire

I recently had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful wedding at the stunning Chester House Estate in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, for Ellie & Will. A special place for Ellie because she and her family used to visit on a regular basis when she was growing up. The day was filled with pure joy, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have been part of it.

Jade and I started our day at The Aviator Hotel in Sywell, Northamptonshire, where the Groom and Best Men were staying. There was race day happening in the airfield next to the art deco-style hotel which made for a fun atmosphere.

We shot photos outside of the restaurant and moved to the museum not far from the hotel. We finished shooting at the bar and left Will and his best men sipping some dutch courage before the day started to unfold.

When we arrived at Chester House, Ellie was relaxed and enjoying her time with her friends and family while hair and makeup were underway. The couple's young daughter was in great spirits so we took some time to do a little shoot near the window in the sitting room.

We photographed the dress, jewellery, and beautiful flowers in the bright and airy bedroom. Ellie also dressed here and did a first look for her parents and bridesmaids. They were fun and emotional moments. I knew this was going to be a great day!

When it comes to wedding photography, my style leans towards the natural, fun, and romantic. I believe in capturing the true essence of the couple and their special day, focusing on authentic moments rather than forced poses. I strive to tell a story through my photographs, creating a visual narrative of the love and emotions shared by the couple and their loved ones.

As a documentary-style photographer, I aim to capture every significant moment and detail of the wedding day to tell a story with minimal direction. From the laughter and tears during the vows to the small personal touches that make the day unique, I strive to document it all. I believe that a wedding should be a celebration, and I aim to reflect this in my photographs.

One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how relaxed the couple was throughout the entire day. They truly embraced the joy and happiness surrounding them, allowing me to capture spontaneous and fun moments.

Wedding photography should be a reflection of the couple's unique love story and the emotions shared on their special day. It should capture the essence of who they are as individuals and as a couple. I consider it an honour to be able to freeze these precious moments in time, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
