Ardington House, Oxfordshire

Zoella and Luke chose a beautiful location for their July summer wedding. Ardington House in Oxfordshire is a luxury wedding venue that’s full of charm and style. The perfect place for them to say their "I dos" in the company of their friends and family.

It was a warm, sunny, and breezy day. When Jade and I arrived, we took in the sights of this historic Georgian building and picturesque grounds. We climbed the grand stairs to hear chatter and laughing. Hair and make-up were in full swing, with lots of catching up with friends and family. Zoella was in the make-up chair, soaking up the atmosphere, which was blissful (and full of hairspray & perfume that smelt divine)! Jade and I got to work!

Zoella looked breathtaking in her Miss Stella York designer dress, and Luke looked very smart in his blue wool suit.

The couple came to me wanting natural and candid photos. They didn’t want their couple portraits overly posed or forced. Their requirements suit my style of wedding photography. I like to take a documentary approach to tell the story of the day with beautiful imagery. Because the couple had booked a pre-wedding connection photoshoot with me, they were primed and relaxed, being themselves in front of the lens.

The ceremony took place outside across the brook under the trees. Zoella and her dad walked from the house, across the green, and over the bridge to greet the love of her life. The ceremony was joyful and heartfelt albeit a moment that a bee that took a liking to Luke during the vows!

The colours were pink and sage which blended so well in the surroundings of this beautiful and opulent venue.

What I loved about this wedding was the atmosphere that Zoella and Luke created for their friends and family who mean so much to them. There were guests who came from afar to celebrate with them and the couple made so much time for everyone who attended.

The day was fun, romantic, and memorable. A perfect day for such a sweet couple. Thank you for having us along!
